About This Gratiot Guide

This private guide organizes the official routes for Gratiot County custody and booking-record questions. It does not publish a photo gallery or hold government records. The Sheriff’s roster, county FOIA process, MDOC, and the courts remain the sources that create and maintain the underlying records.

Purpose and Scope

Michigan public-record access has separate routes for jail intake, state custody, and court outcomes. The Gratiot County Sheriff and Jail Division manage county booking records and the current roster. MDOC OTIS serves a different state-supervision population, and court files document what happened after booking. This site explains those paths in one place; it stores none of the records or photographs itself.

What the Guide Covers

The pages focus on the practical question of which office owns a record.

  • The county guide for the roster, booking-file requests, and court follow-up.
  • City-specific explanations for Alma, St. Louis, and Ithaca police-record routes.
  • State, federal, and immigration custody distinctions when those systems apply.
  • Official contact and timing information supplied by Gratiot County and Michigan sources.

What This Site Cannot Do

We are independent of every Michigan government agency, the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office, the jail, and MDOC. Only the responsible public office can provide an official answer.

  • We cannot confirm custody, release, transfer, bond, or visitation.
  • We cannot retrieve a government booking file or change a court record.
  • We do not provide legal advice.
  • We cannot guarantee that an outside office has not changed a contact detail or fee.

For a current Gratiot custody answer, use the Sheriff’s roster or Jail Division. For a case outcome, use the court record.

Search Partners

Some pages include a search box operated by a third-party provider. That provider sets its own results, terms, and pricing. If a visitor chooses a paid partner service, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the guide. That arrangement does not make the partner an official record custodian.
